2nd Annual Wine and Whimsy RennFest

We’re bringing Wine & Whimsy back to Woodbine Vineyards in Buffalo Junction, VA, on Saturday, November 21. And yes, we really are putting armored fighters on golf carts.

What your ticket gets you

• Renaissance Faire ticket | 11 AM to 5 PM. Spend the day at the Faire with live performances, armored combat, author panels, games, and the marketplace. The Faire is for all ages, and kids 10 and under get in free with a ticketed adult.
• Fantasy Ball ticket | 7 to 11 PM. Come back to Woodbine for an evening of music and dancing. The Ball is 18+.
• Combo ticket. Join us for both the daytime Faire and the evening Ball.

Out on the Faire grounds

Watch The Exiles go at it in full armor, see Captain Iggy breathe fire, and catch Maryland KDF’s historical fencing bouts and demos. Oak Lichatree is bringing his World’s Strongest Gnome show, and we’ve got two LARP combat tournaments, archery duels, tug of war, a stein hold, and costume contests for kids, teens, and adults. If you want to compete, signups open when the gates do at 11.

Between bouts, browse the makers’ booths, meet the authors, or grab lunch from a food vendor and a drink from Woodbine. Food, drinks, and marketplace purchases are sold separately.

Inside the tasting building

The Right Wells open and close the day with live bardic music. The general author Q&A starts at 1 PM, followed by Ink & Entropy’s poetry workshop at 2 PM. Stick around for panels about writing sword fights, giving your hero a Sam of their own, and my favorite question on the schedule, “If Magic Can Do That, Why Is Anyone Still Dying?”

The Fantasy Ball

At 7 PM we open back up for the Ball. Wear the outfit you’ve been looking for an excuse to wear. Fantasy, Renaissance, and formal attire are all welcome. If you’re making a day of it, bring your friends to the Faire, take a break after 5, and meet us back at Woodbine for the dance floor.
